Through an intentional, developmentally appropriate program of loving nurture and educational excellence, King’s Kids Christian Preschool introduces the person of Jesus Christ and God’s plan of salvation to the children and families in our community.
Director Joyce DeYoung
With over 40 years of both education and experience in the field of Early Childhood Education and Development, Joyce sees it as a privilege to pursue God’s calling in her life to share the Gospel of Christ to children and families. Joyce has enjoyed all aspects of the preschool arena, as a Head Teacher, school curriculum coordinator, Co-Director, trainer, and staff mentor.
When not busy with preschool, Joyce and her husband David, of 41 years, delight in (and do their best to keep up with!) their 7 grandchildren! Teaching a preschool Sunday – School class at her church keeps her in prime preschool mode, and serving as church pianist allows her to fulfill her interest in hymnody and the great music of the church through the ages. Sharing her love of music with children is incorporated into the King’s Kids program each week as she leads musical instruction in the classrooms. Contact Joyce, email@example.com
Director Diane Vlaisavich
Diane holds her BA in Communications from the University of Oregon, and worked in the business arena before joining the original King’s Kids staff in 2004. She has served as an Assistant and Head Teacher, and earned her Director’s Certificate from the Oregon Child Care Division. Her church ministry experience includes service as an Elder and as the Chair of Women’s Ministries and of Vacation Bible School. Diane’s passions include raising her two college age children, running, Bible study, and fellowship with children and families in the community. Diane and her husband George have been immeasurably blessed by the King’s Kids family, and consider it an honor and privilege to be a part of the school. Contact Diane, firstname.lastname@example.org
